Online course prerequisites

To enrol in a building construction course online, you’ll need:

Building or trade experience (hands-on or supervisory)
The ability to provide evidence of your work history
A willingness to complete online learning and participate in a final interview

With a domestic builder registration, you can apply for a range of categories, such as domestic builder unlimited (DB-U) and all 29 DB-L licences, including carpentry, framing, and bricklaying.

Do I need a Cert IV qualification to be eligible to join the course?

A Certificate IV in building and construction will definitely give you some foundational knowledge in building management and planning, however, it is not a requirement to get licensed. If you have experience, references, and examples of completed projects, you can still enrol on the online course to get registered. Reach out to our friendly team or take our 60-second eligibility test to see if you qualify.

How do the Zoom classes work?

Our Zoom classes are live sessions run by some of the best trainers in the construction industry. With their training expertise, they will deliver the classes in an interactive and engaging way, so you can get the same face-to-face classroom experience from home.

We’ll send you a Zoom link in advance so you can join the class from anywhere with an internet connection. We recommend using headphones to block out any background noise. Prior to your first class, download Zoom or check for any updates so that you’re ready to go before the class begins. If you run into any technical trouble, our support team is on-hand to help.
